Since his schooling, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh ‘Dhekaha’ had an important goal in his life and that was to do something concrete for the service of the nation. Bringing about change in a vast and diverse country like India is not in the hands of a single person. For this, more and more people must join it.
The population of India has reached 140 crores, but only a few people are there in this huge population who think about the challenges of the country and society and intend to do something concrete. But challenges cannot be faced with negative thinking or making complaints and comment. Something must be done so that more and more people feel really connected to their society and country.
In the present time, patriotism with honesty as well as social service have been becoming words confined to dictionary. Barring a few exceptions, people are getting so busy in their personal development and comfort that they do not find time to do or think about collective responsibilities or duty towards the country and society. Even education system now a days is not proving to be quite effective in inculcating feelings of patriotism, social responsibilities, and duty in students. Keeping in mind these challenges Nagarik Club has been established.
Dr. Rakesh having completed his Master degree in Geography (Banaras Hindu University), he persuaded B.Ed from Bangalore University, Bangalore. He also completed his second Master degree in Development Studies from Central University of Bihar, Patna (presently, Central University of South Bihar). Finally, He obtained Ph.D on the title “Spatial Pattern of Agro – Based Industries and Its Role in Rural Development: A Case Study of Bhojpur District, Bihar” from Patna University. He also passed eligibility test in teaching through CTET, BTET and STET.
He began his career as a teacher in a public school for few years. He also worked as a Project coordinator, Project Officer, District Coordinator in various in a private sector and currently working as an empanelled trainer under the FOSTAC program of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
Shree Sanjay Kumar Singh
President – Nagrik Club
Now we would like to introduce Our President Shree Sanjay Kumar Singh.
He is one of the well-known science and maths teachers. He has retired from St. Karen's School, Gola Road, Danapur. Currently, he is working in St. Paul's High School, Digha.
He graduated in Science from Ranchi University and B.Ed from Govind Ballabh Pant University, Dehradun.
He is a very well-disciplined person and liked by people around him. He likes to serve people of the nation.
Mr. Anand Pratap Singh
Treasurer – Nagrik Club
Mr. Anand Pratap Singh is a key pillar in the establishment of Nagrik Club. He holds a Commerce degree from Ranchi University and an MBA from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela.
With extensive experience in corporate roles, he is also an active entrepreneur. As treasurer, he ensures financial management and supports the Club’s mission with vision and dedication.
